- Instead of talking about climate science, talk about damage to the climate. No need to debate the science.
- Don't dwell on the impacts on climate change. Explain what's at stake, and then focus on solutions.
Talk about what people can do at the local level (e.g. "We can’t wait for Washington to solve our problems.").
Say "we", not "I." It's empowering think about what we can accomplish together.
Talk about personal savings as a result of energy efficiency and clean energy more than job growth as the result of investing in renewables.
Instead of talking about regulation, talk about fines and rules for polluters.
Talk about the opportunity to choose clean energy.
